Maintenance of an multi-purpose pitchIn order to remain in good condition, an artificial multi-purpose pitch requires (annual) maintenance. We have small machines at our disposal for maintaining even the smallest of playing fields (often equipped with play equipment).
In the event these fields are too heavily polluted, we may also use the revitalization method.
ProcesA sand-filled multi-purpose pitch is maintained by means of the dry method. During this process, the maintenance machine brushes the higher-lying sand between the fibres onto a sieve plate, on which the coarse dirt remains. The coarse dirt subsequently remains on the sieve plate. The sand is simultaneously exposed to vacuum, so that anything lighter than the sand is removed and collected in a filter box. The clean sand then falls back onto the pitch.
SmoothingAfter cleaning, we will smooth out the sand in the multi-purpose pitch with a tractor and brush. If necessary, we will add extra sand to the pitch. In areas with the most intensive activity on the pitch, sand is often completely absent. By means of our annual maintenance, we will ensure that there is enough sand on the entire pitch.
In most cases, we will revitalize a multi-purpose pitch if it is polluted, has poor water permeability and no longer meets the technical standards of the sport, but still has sufficient fibre length to last at least 5 years. By revitalizing the pitch, we literally blow new life into it. Using compressed air, we remove sand and pollution from the multi-purpose pitch. We then provide the entire pitch with new sand.
Revitalization of an artificial multi-purpose pitch is a sustainable solution. Instead of demolishing the pitch and having a new one installed, you can continue using the current one. After the revitalization process, the pitch will be as new and easily last several years.
